Assistant Project Manager - Renewable EnergyGlasgowClimate17 are working with a thriving renewables developer who are entering an exciting period of growth. They are part of an investment fund, with an ambitious renewables division, who are focusing on solar, battery storage and windfarm development across the UK.With offices in London and Glasgow, they are now growing their team in Scotland to help drive project development, and are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to assist the senior leadership team.Role & responsibilitiesThe role, based in Glasgow, will be to support in the development and delivery of high-quality renewable energy projects by leading individual tasks and supporting senior team members in other tasks.In particular, the roleholder will be expected to undertake site development activities such as undertaking initial site feasibility reviews and then managing contractors and consultants in the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments and Planning Applicationsleading to successful planning consents and optimal grid connection offers.The roleholder is anticipated to have a wide range of technical capability and Project Management experience, a real desire to succeed and be able to work autonomously and propose innovative solutions to problems.Key skills & experience-Project Management / Engineering / Planning Qualification (degree level as a minimum).-Minimum of 3 years experience within the renewable energy industry on Project Management, particularly working on solar PV, battery storage or onshore wind projects (experience in other industries with suitable transferrable skills will also be considered).-Experience of leading the development and delivery of projects at various stages in the project lifecycle.-Experience of contract preparation and managing and negotiating tender processes (including consultancy services).-Experience of managing project stakeholders including regulators, statutory consultees and local communities.-Experience of UK consenting processes including preparation of planning applications leading to successful planning consents.-Experience in the use of technical software (such as AutoCAD, GIS, PVSyst).-An ability to manage several project tasks at once and be able to plan and prioritise project workload.Pay & BenefitsFor the successful candidate, the client can offer an attractive reward package that will include: Competitive starting salary Discretionary bonus Pension scheme Health insurance Life assurance Income protection Death in service insurance Additional social perks
