Job Description

How would you like to work for a very well established company based inGlasgow (Hillington area) WorkingFull Timewithdayshifts/night shiftsrotational shifts availableplus immediatestarts,permanentjob opportunities, and an onsite canteen this is a fabulous offering for a candidates with relevant experience!This is permanent position directly with the company.Please note that only candidates with relevant manufacturing/assembly experience will be considered for this position.Your daily duties as aAssemblyChargehand:

  • Carry out production operative duties as required.
  • Improve housekeeping of the working area.
  • Improve quality via product documentation and operator training/awareness.
  • Assist supervision on allocation of jobs.
  • Cover Supervisors holidays.
  • Organise and set up work areas for specific jobs, spin welding, jigs and fixtures etc. (identify and implement improved methods of work and efficiency).
  • Order components via the ASK process.
  • Organise product labels for bags and cartons.
  • Check that jobs are being assembled and packed correctly as per the BOM’s, drawings and customer specific requirements. (Notify supervisors/management of any discrepancies).
  • Train operators.
  • Check bar codes are correct when scanning bagging machine products.
  • Prepare sample products.
  • Create assembly instruction documentation.
  • Control component stock and advise supervision / management on any discrepancies and corrections required.
  • Investigate quality issues and customer complaints and implement corrective action to prevent recurrence
Dayshift/Nightshift rotation on a three weekly basis:
  • Dayshift times : 07:45 to 16:15 Mon to Thur 07:45 to 15:15 Fri, 39 hours per week
  • Nightshift times: 21:20 to 07:50 Mon to Wed , 22:20 to 07:50 Thur, 39 hours per week
Pay Rate:
  • DAYSHIFTS:£16.65 per hour
  • NIGHT SHIFTS:£22.15 per hour
