As an Application Support level 2, you will be working as part of the regional Compliance Technology Run-the-Bank Level 2 team. You will be working with other analysts, both in the region & as part of our global team and will have reporting lines to theRegional Compliance Lead. Barclays is a British universal bank. Risk and Control Objective Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards. What will you be doing Performing incident and problem management activities, including working closely with technology and business stakeholders to provide innovative and tactical solutions Improving the performance of our Applications and processes Managing major incidents, performing post incident reviews and coordinating with our various 3rd party suppliers Planning execution timelines/activities of various major releases and critical changes into Production and DR environments Working in collaboration with our development and technology teams Understanding when decisions and actions will have an impact on the cost, risk and behavioural profiles of systems and processes, and when to escalate such impacts Coordinating various activities across the global team, including handover of issues, knowledge sharing, training and collaboration on strategic projects Providing off-hours on-call assistance on a rotational basis What were looking for: Bachelors Degree. ITIL certified Excellent working knowledge of UNIX environment with exposure to IBM AIX, HP-UX, Sun Solaris and/or Linux. Experience of using big data technologies (Hadoop) Experience of Windows based operating system, Oracle or MS-SQL Good working knowledge of job scheduling, batch jobs etc and has exposure to one or more of scheduling tools. Skills that will help you in the role: Application support experience with applications using AWS & Salesforce Working experience of Compliance and Anti-Financial Crime Experience working under a DevOps model, with hands-on experience operating and developing various automation tools such as Nolio or Chef Have worked as part of a project delivery team in either a Waterfall or Agile SDLC (Software Delivery Lifecycle) model Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
