Job Description

Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager

  • Annual Salary: £34-37k
  • Location: Glasgow, GB
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager to join a successful business basedWest of Glasgow. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing all aspects of accounting for the Group’spayable and receivable ledgers. We areideally looking for someone with an understanding of how the payables and receivables feeds into the monthly management accounts, and can support with the production of these. This position involves daily management of a team, providing guidance and coachingas well as getting involved in day-to-day processing responsibilities Day-to-day of the role:
  • Overseeing sales and purchase ledgers
  • Managing the raising of invoices
  • Overseeing purchase invoice processing
  • Preparing and overseeing paymentruns
  • Monitoring and distributing workload to ensure tasks completed timely
  • Maintaining effective credit control procedures
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts and statutory accounts preparation
  • Liaising with auditors during the external auditor process
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Part-qualified or with exposure to management accounts and how payables/receivables feed into these
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Previous team management experience
  • Experience in preparing monthly management accounts is desirable but not essential
  • Working knowledge of VAT
