Job Description

Reed Accountancy is delighted to bring to market a new opportunity for an Accounts Administrator to join afamily owned manufacturing company that have been operating in Glasgow for over 100 years. An office based position based in north Glasgow, the rolewill suit someone who has experience of processing accounting transactions across purchase and sales ledgers, and ideally with some experience of processing payroll. However, they may also consider a strong administrator who is looking to make the move intoan accounting focused role. Full training will be provided, so dont hesitate to apply even if your skillset doesnt meet all of the responsibilities.Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the Purchase Ledger, ensuring purchase ledger invoices match purchase orders issued.
  • Coding, batching and entering Purchase Ledger invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Ensuring all Sales Ledger invoices are transferred to our Opera Accounts system
  • Dealing with customer invoice enquiries, issuing copy sales ledger invoices to customers
  • Ensuring all relevant customer information is obtained and set up on the accounting/billing system for new customers
  • Answering telephone calls and transferring calls to the relevant person
  • Greeting clients to the business
  • Preparing the boardroom for meetings
  • Distributing and processing daily mail and parcels
