Job Description

Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant Location: Gillingham, KentOur client is a global leader in their field. Theyre currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their team.Role Overview:This key role involves acting as the Senior Financial Accountant for the site and the main contact for the completion of statutory accounts and tax-related matters for the UK entity. The role is split equally between these two areas.Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the finance team and ensuring delivery of all financial elements
  • Ensuring accurate financial reporting to strict deadlines and input into the budget/forecast process
  • Liaising with external and internal auditors
  • Ensuring the site is Sarbanes-Oxley compliant
  • Developing reporting systems that meaningfully analyse the financial performance of the site
  • Developing robust forecasting processes
  • Supporting management with information, analysis & guidance for strong financial control
  • Coordinating the preparation and ownership of the Legal Entitys Statutory accounts and other statutory returns including tax.
Key Skills:
  • Strong compliance accounting skills
  • High level of proficiency in Excel
  • Experience in forecast modelling
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent understanding of a standard costing environment
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
  • Understanding of both US and UK GAAP
  • Experience of internal financial reporting in a multinational company environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
