Position: Senior Analysis EngineerLocation: GillinghamTerm: PermanentSalary: Up to £50,000 pa (doe)The Company:This world leading product manufacturer, who has over a century of impressive history within the industry. Due to recent company restructure they are seeking a Senior Analysis Engineer to join their team.As a Senior Analysis Engineer you will be working within the Analysis Department on design assessment and optimisation using simulation techniques and physical test data.Your Key Responsibilities:- Conduct appropriate simulations (with particular focus on CFD and 1D hydromechanical) to support design, development, validation and manufacturing activities of diesel fuel injection system components. Work closely with product team members (Design and Development Engineers), following the project and proposing design and testing recommendations to the team based on simulation results. Liaise with other functional groups (Materials, Validation) and customer teams to obtain and share information to improve the accuracy and value of simulation activities. Report to the Analysis Team Leader and Analysis Manager, documenting methods, assumptions, results and conclusions. Prepare and present summaries of work to a diverse audience in-person and in conference calls. Support the development and implementation of new analysis techniques to improve simulation capabilities and product performance. Plan work activities effectively, support project planning and complete work packages on time. To assist in arranging meetings and compiling agendas and minutes.Must have Skills:- Application of simulation methodology and fundamental physical principles to the design of hydraulic components. Thorough knowledge of ANSYS Fluent simulation software. The ability to operate AMESim simulation software would be advantageous. Proven understanding of the principals of physics and mechanical engineering. Familiarity with fluid dynamics and metal fatigue principles. The ability to study a problem and identify the most appropriate analysis techniques (hand calculations, 1D/2D/3D, testing actual components). Understanding the nature of models and the consequences of the assumptions used.Qualification & Experiences Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a suitable engineering or business discipline. At least 5 years experience using CFD in an industrial setting. Vast experience in analysis of high pressure Fuel Injection Systems and a detailed understanding of associated hydraulic components and advanced simulation methods applied to these. Experience of high pressure gas dynamics. Experience of using and writing software in Matlab. CAD/Solid Modelling experience, preferably with SolidWorks or NX.
