Position: Controls EngineerLocation: GillinghamTerm: PermanentSalary: Up to £60,000 pa (doe)The Company:This world leading product manufacturer, who has over a century of impressive history within the industry. Due to recent company restructure they are seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team.As a Control Engineer you will support our Powertrain development teams in Gillingham. You will be a suitably qualified engineer who will design, implement and test control functions on various platforms including vehicle, engine dyno and Hardware-In-the-Loopsystems.Your Key Responsibilities:- Develop advanced control algorithms within an automotive environment for engine and vehicle systems. Perform test and calibration activities to meet customer/legislative requirements Use of modelling and simulation tools Keep abreast of new technologies and automotive market trends Travel to customer sites or other BorgWarner technical centres to present algorithm designs and in-house control system functionsMust have Skills:- Automotive powertrain knowledge Experience/education in control algorithm design/development Experience using Matlab/Simulink for algorithm design and/or plant modelling Experience using calibration tools such as INCA Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with powertrain testing and associated control systems Hardware-In-the-Loop systems experience e.g. D-Space Clean driving licenseQualification BEng/MEng/PhD degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering At least 10 years post graduate work experience with a tier one automotive supplier or OEMWorking hoursWeekly working hours are 37 as stated below, however, some flexibility would be required.Mon-Thurs: 08:0016:30 (with a 30 minute unpaid lunchbreak)Fri: 08:0013:00 (with no lunchbreak)In return you will receive:Competitive Salary (depending on experience)Exceptional company benefits (Which included Health and Dental plan, 27 days Holiday + BH, Pension etc)If this position is of interest, please apply via the link
