Job Description

I am working with a fire and security company who are looking for a service estimator to join their team.The purpose of the service estimator is to use industry experience and knowledge to provide detailed estimates for client projects, and maintenance renewal contracts, including cost estimates, work time estimates, and overall customer satisfaction.The day to day duties for the Client service estimator include:

  • Research and preparation of quotations relating to maintenance contracts and remedial repair works identified from service enquiries
  • Following company standards and procedures when analysing and providing estimations; focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company.
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of the features, functions and benefits of companies services to offer the best solution to the customer.
  • Identifying where additional surveying of sites is required and visiting them, or arranging a visit, to gather additional asset information.
  • Produce professional quotations using the company standard format and costing tools whilst having the commercial knowledge to successfully secure contracts at appropriate margins.
  • Ensuring that quotations are completed within the set KPIs.
  • To help develop new maintenance sales opportunities by supporting colleagues within the business surveying and quoting maintenance contracts where required
Skills and experience required for the service estimator:
  • Experience working within a fire and security industry
  • Previous work in a customer facing role
  • Work well in a team as well as individually
  • Excellent computer skills including using Microsoft packages
