Credit ControllerSpider is advertising on behalf of a national and highly respected electrical wholesale company who are currently in search for an experienced Credit Controller to join their team based in Port Talbot.About the companyThe company play an important role in the electrical industry supply chain. They buy and stock electrical products from the industrys leading manufacturers and then sell them to electricians and other companies who require electrical equipment. They employover 3,000 people and have more than 380 branches. They stock more than 120,000 different products and have thousands of customers of all shapes and sizes ranging from self-employed electricians to large national mechanical and electrical contracting firms.As the Credit Controller you will be reporting to the Regional Credit Manager. You will be efficient and effectively chasing overdue debt by telephone, letter, and email as appropriate. You will escalate debts to Credit Manager for litigation whenappropriate. You will have autonomous responsibility for a portfolio of credit accounts in the electrical wholesale industry ranging from sole traders to national key accounts, with a view to maximising cash flow whilst maintaining an excellent relationshipwith all internal and external stakeholders.Other Credit Controller duties will include:

Prompt management and resolution of invoice queries internally and externally and various forms of customer payments this will include managing approved payment plans through to completion.
Recording of all actions and conversations in customer notes and taking payments over the telephone.
Maintenance of files for each customer.
Ad hoc duties such as collecting and opening post, taking cheques to the bank.

You will ideally have a minimum of two years credit control experience (desirable). You will have a passion for credit control and a desire to continually maintain a clean and current ledger. You will be competent working with the Microsoft Office suite.You will be capable of building relationships at all levels including with customers, branch staff, senior managers, and colleagues as well as ability to work individually and as part of a team is essential. You will have excellent verbal and written communicationskills.This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of £21,500 - £24,500 (depending on experience).
