Job Description

Office AssistantJob RoleOur client near Gedney Hill are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their unique business with a friendly, family atmosphere. As a proactive member of the team you will be required to support the office function including such duties as order processing,customer service, artwork generation and filing in support of the senior management and Office Manager.This is a progressive role with the opportunity to move into a more senior role after 5/6 months for the right candidate that demonstrates a good work ethic, ability to learn quickly and technical competence.Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure cohesion, communication & well planned productivity whilst liaising with Customers, Managers, Supervisors and office team at all times on order/customer priorities.
  • Assist Office Manager with general administration, daily order shipment processing, using courier software and processing shipment labels accordingly.
  • Prepare and separate artwork for order production onto film and be aware of our weekly/monthly target, understanding the impact that artwork production and order processing has on meeting this target - ensuring all necessary action is taken to achieve thisefficiently.
  • Ensure all order QC checks are completed correctly (i.e. colours, position, quantities, product etc).
  • Support Office Manager with plate and film storage/retrieval.
  • Provide support for Office Manager and Senior Management as required.
  • Evaluate Health and Safety risks and notify Management of any training required. Ensure compliance and monitor regularly.
Person specification
  • Prior Administrative experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Good customer facing communication skills, including telephone and email.
  • Basic computer skills (knowledge of Illustrator & Photoshop advantageous)
  • Good literacy, numeracy, analytical and attention to details skills
  • Demonstrate a good team work ethic in order to support the office function and the seasonal nature of the business
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Provide good housekeeping, organisation and Health and Safety compliance
Hours of work & Pay
  • £10 to £11 per hour DOE
  • Monday to Friday 8:00am - 16:30pm (flexibility available)
  • On-site parking - own transport required due to location
