They want to demonstrate that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society but they can’t do this without you! They need Support Workers in the Gazeley area to make their vision a reality.Position: Support Worker Location: GazeleyJob type: Permanent (guaranteed hours)Hours: Full time, Part Time and Relief hours available - up to 39 hours per weekSalary: £9.50 per hour, overtime and sleep-ins availableAbout the role: The role of a Support Worker is to ensure the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.Supporting someone with a learning disability isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more. A Support Worker could be taking the people supported swimming, assisting with the weekly shop, or even helping to administer the right medication.About You:You dont need to have worked in supported living before to be a good Support Worker, simply the right attitude, a supportive nature, good communication skills and a great sense of humour is a must.Youll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions.
