Job Description

Do you have CAD systems experience, and are you seeking a new contract job in Gaydon Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit an Axle CAD Engineer, and the role comes with a umbrella contract rate of £25.14 per hour (inside IR35).Reporting to the Axle Function & Integration Group Leader, this role requires you to support the delivery of the design of the suspension/axle concept and associated CAD geometry to meet the agreed timing for multiple nameplates off a platform.In your first few weeks in this Axle CAD Engineer role, you can expect to:

Respond to work requests and follow technical direction, methods and processes provided by the Solution Architect to complete programme deliverables
Create suspension layout studies and check packaging, including consideration of kinematics, dynamic envelopes, compliances, tuning and component variability
Generate suspension hard point datasheets for release, plus selected other chassis geometry datasetsheets (e.g., anti-roll bar routing) and cascade these to all relevant areas
Work with different chassis departments and other groups.

Knowledge of automotive suspension system design and 3D experience
