Gaining a deep understanding for their respective departmental needs, challenges,and aspirations, they are at the heart of driving the people agenda that enables people to thrive and our exciting business to achieve its strategic objectives.What is the roleThis HR Business Partner role is aligned to the Head of Security. Security is a large, operational workforce vital to delivering a safe and secure London Gatwick, 24/7. It is a varied and demanding role, supporting and ensuring security leaders and managersare well equipped to enable their people to deliver a world class service to our passengers, and maximise the potential of individuals and their teams.What youll be doing

  • Coach managers to be effective people leaders who are highly cognisant of wellbeing, engagement, inclusion and cultivating a high-performance culture
  • Develop and deliver departmental people plans, ensuring alignment to overall HR plan and company goals
  • Identify and manage people related risks, support managers to put mitigating actions in place, in line with legislation and best practice
  • Analyse operational performance to identify people trends and potential issues that may benefit from HR interventions
  • Seek out opportunities to optimise the workforce through supporting continuous improvement activities, organisational design, skills assessments and training needs
  • Use data and insights to enable people leaders to understand our people trends, and facilitate good decision making
  • Develop succession plans through talent reviews to track talent and build a platform of future talent that enables people to grow across the business
  • Managing headcount and working with Talent Acquisition to support high volume recruitment campaigns
Do you have what were looking for
  • Previous experience as a business partner in a fast paced, high volume operational environment
  • Ability to build senior level relationships quickly and effectively
  • Full knowledge of HR framework and legal process to shape and build solutions
  • Resilient and thrives in a busy, changing environment
  • Experience of working in an HR model with centres of excellence/functional specialists
  • Demonstrableknowledgeof HR disciplines and emerging HR trends.
  • Ability to use data to support effective decision making.
  • An advocate for change, leading and supporting the business areas to make the right decisions.
  • Effective at coaching leaders to be their best and promote a positive working environment.
  • Experience in delivering talent reviews and building succession plans.
  • Knowledge of practical solutions in a variety of HR topics
  • Confident in challenging status quo and providing solutions, being tenacious to ensure they are delivered
  • Commercial - able to view and quickly understand the financial impact of decisions made
  • Supportive and works well as part of a team
  • Passionate about own self development
  • CIPD Level 7, or equivalent experience with desire to achieve Level 7
