Job Description

Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Warden/Cleaner to work with the Housing Solutions Team in Gateshead. This position is initially for a period of 2 months and will be paying £11.39 (PAYE)or £14.13 (umbrella) per hour.The role: To undertake the day to day cleaning and general maintenance of homeless temporary accommodation and refugee resettlement properties.Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure conduct and behaviour demonstrates a commitment to the core council values and promotes cross service working to achieve excellent customer service and outcomes.
  • To be proactive in all aspects of health & safety management to comply with current legislation, promote a culture of good health and safety practice within the working environment, ensuring personal responsibilities to yourself and others are dischargedin line with council policies and procedures.
  • To demonstrate a positive, diverse and inclusive attitude to both internal and external customers and colleagues.
  • Working in partnership with service users and other agencies to provide a quality service.
  • Carry out basic maintenance i.e. assembling of furniture packs, curtain poles, blinds.
  • To liaise with appropriate agencies to provide a direct response for short-term emergency situations, e.g. Arrange emergency repairs.
  • To actively participate in the evaluation, development and continuous improvement of the scheme. Keeping up to date with policies and procedures and participating in meetings and training as necessary.
Applicant Requirements: Qualifications:
      N/A.
