The work will be physics-basedcontrols engineering, designing algorithms, applying control theory to practical solutions with all the opportunities for creative problem solving this presents. Sample rates of 50 microseconds or less are common, so efficient design and deep understandingof embedded control will enable this engineer to produce world class robust solutions. Matlab and Simulink in conjunction with FEA/CFD tools are the go-to tools to analyze solutions and generate code, before testing and proving on powerful dynos on site hereat Gateshead.
