Job Description

Our client are a global leader within their industry and are currently looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician with an Electrical Bias to join their expanding maintenance team.Overall Purpose:

  • Within the maintenance department providing in-house maintenance across multi-site company.
  • To ensure production machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
  • To focus on delivering and improving maintenance interventions.
  • To produce parts and solutions using all resources available, developing and engineering improvements based on previous breakdowns.
Key Duties:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on plant & equipment to a high standard.
  • Respond to breakdowns on production machines.
  • To comply with legal requirements and work within company health and safety guidelines.
  • Identify and order spare parts.
  • Complete records using maintenance management system.
  • Read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding.
  • Project work.
  • Develop apprentices.
  • Working a continental shift pattern.
  • Qucik response to machine downtime due to breakdowns.
  • Effective at diagnosis and repair of plant and equipment.
  • Quality of work - right first time.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
  • Time served multi-skilled with electrical bias.
  • 16th edition or newer IEE regulations preferable.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding.
  • HNC qualification.
  • Ability to create innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Work with the OEM machine technicians when required.
  • Computer literate, familiarity with stock control and spreadsheets.
  • Highly responsible and conscientious, who can work well under pressure.
  • Good communicator who is reliable and flexible with strong work ethic.
  • Punctual, presentable with good attendance.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and manage own time by prioritising jobs.
  • Pro-active with a can-do attitude.
  • Work well in a team or equally unaided.
The Package:
  • £42,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • 12 Hour continental shift pattern of days & nights, only working 1 Saturday & Sunday per month.
  • 8 Day break every month in between shifts.
