Interaction Recruitment are actively seeking Experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technicians for a well-established client based in Gateshead.An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our client, who provides business critical support to companies infrastructure ensuring downtime and impact is minimised by providing planned and reactive services to a variety ofindustry sectors.WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU £16.88 per hour (Approx. £32K)Day Shift Hours OnlyPermanent Job Role Enhanced employer pension contributionsGenerous contractual sick pay schemeEmployee Assistance Programme 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Sports and social club allowing access to on-site gym and squash courtAs a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will have direct experience of maintaining CNC MachineryTHE ROLEMaintaining CNC machinery, carrying out all necessary repairs and preventative maintenance Ensuring machinery is safe and operational following any maintenance interaction Ensuring regular servicing schedules are maintained and prioritised around production demands Liaising with external contractors to arrange support with repairs, spares or general guidanceBeing proactive on ways to improve machines or process Undertaking general building maintenance and repair tasks within your capabilitiesTHE PERSON Be a time served Maintenance Technician Be mechanically bias however, an understanding of electrical maintenance would be an advantageBe competent in carrying out general repairs to CNC machinery. Experience of Doosan, Mazak, HASS and / or DMG preferredHave health and safety awareness for Working at Height A current forklift and or cherry-picker licence would be an advantage Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment Be flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirementsBe willing to pass on your knowledge and train othersThis is a permanent role paying £16.88 per hour to work day shift only. The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4pm and Friday 7:30am-12:30pm.
