Job Description

The OpportunityA great opportunity exists for an experienced IT Manager to lead the IT function of this well established UK division of this international manufacturing business.The RoleThe IT Manager will manage all aspects of IT on site and liaise with corporate colleagues across the group to ensure high availability of all necessary systems and services. In this hands on role the IT Manager will be required to resolve system and applicationissues and identify the root cause to provide a permanent fix. In addition to leading a small team, they will

  • Manage and maintain an in-house databases and bespoke software utilities along with the ability to write some application and utility code is a requirement of the role.
  • Manage and monitor both Capital and Opex budgets, negotiating with third party suppliers to ensure continuity of support, along with strategic planning of upgrades and enhancements to existing infrastructure
The RequirementsYou will be an experienced IT professional with, ideally though not necessarily, manufacturing experience and have strong stakeholdermanagement and communication skills. You will be adaptable, pragmatic and must be customer focussed. Technically you will possess:
  • MS SQL Server 2017 administration
  • Knowledge and skills in T-SQL
  • MS Report Server experience
  • Programming skills
  • General PC and Server hardware and peripherals
  • Windows 10 desktops, MS Office 365
  • MS Hyper-V knowledge and experience including SANs
  • Windows Server 2012/2016
  • Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills in the above environments
In addition any of the following would be desirable:
  • Mitel / MiVoice Telephony (VOIP)
  • Sharepoint 2013
  • AS400 knowledge/experience
  • MS Integration Services experience
  • Windows Active Directory
  • Networking, IP Addressing, VLANS
  • Cisco LAN Switches
  • Cloud based servers and Azure storage
  • SAP
