Job Description

Were searching for our new colleague to join us as an Inventory Analyst working in our highly motivated, inclusive, and productive fulfilment team that delivers a high-quality, cost-effective service and support our colleagues in transport,commercial teams, and the overall network.This is brand-new role for our new fulfilment centre based in Gateshead.Reporting to the Operational Strategy and Costing Manager, the Inventory Analyst is responsible for the integrity of our stock through the planning and coordinating of the optimal storage plans for Whistl fulfilment and each of our clients.The Inventory Analyst responsibilities will be to ensure the safe and secure storage of client products from put-away through to the picking of orders.Youll also be experienced in driving efficiency in operational cost, KPIs measurement with accurate day-to-day planning, guiding the operation through effective communication to achieve best practice, and performing regular analysis to create plans andbest possible performance.Youll be familiar and comfortable with process management and a target-driven environment which is data-led, coupled with close customer behaviour and focus, adapting your approach to problem-solving and contributing to change projects, ensuing effectivecost management is embedded and embraced with all key stakeholders.This Inventory Analyst role would suit candidates with skills or experience in the following areas: Inventory Analyst, Operational Strategy, Costing, Logistics.Benefits

  • Previous experience in stock control and/or warehouse management systems
  • Able to make clear and clinical decisions based on data and factual evidence in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
  • An analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret performance data in order to draw conclusions, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend solutions.
  • IT literate - proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate MS PowerPoint, and Excel skills for data analysis and presentation in order to influence business cases e.g. pivot tables, graphs etc.
  • Typically, we would estimate that it would take at least 2 years of stock control team leader experience or similar within an E-commerce environment to acquire the knowledge and skills required for this role.
