Job Description

FLT DriverAre you an experienced forklift truck driver with a current counterbalance licenceCan you work effectively in a fast paced companyDo you want to work for a company with great progression opportunitiesSearch are proud to be working with a market leading company on the recruitment of a FLT Driver to join their large manufacturing site based in Gateshead. This role is initially a temporary opportunity with the view of going permanent upon successful completionof a probationary period. Monday to Friday day shift.Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading raw material products using FLT.
  • Working within established safety standards.
  • Running the machinery and liaising with colleagues to ensure effective machine efficiency.
  • Ordering and preparing raw materials or products for palliating and installing them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Responsible for clear communication during shift and in shift handovers.
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.
  • Supporting others in operating activities.
  • Securing the quality level of the products by regular checking against the product specification - rejecting or blocking if necessary.
  • Completing all required documentation and data files during production.
Experience
  • Hold a FLT licence
  • Good PC skills (Microsoft office)
  • Good communication skills
  • Good numerical skills
  • Be safety conscious
  • Be a committed team player who is willing to be flexible to support colleagues
  • Be results focused and be able to follow instructions
