By providing equipment for water quality monitoring and disinfection control, they canassure their clients are able to make water quality decisions with confidence.An opportunity has arisen for an Embedded Engineer to join their expanding team on a full time basis. The role will involve contributing to the development of embedded software within the Instrument Development department. This encompasses the support ofcurrent products as well as the full development and delivery cycle of new products and services.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, debug and modify embedded softwareAnalyse the requirements for the embedded system and determine which requirements incorporate a software componentTranslate requirements into software functionsBecome the technical expert within Palintest on all matters regarding softwareSpecify the requirements of software development environments, tools and systemsActively seek new ways of working to improve effectiveness of the departmentFollow and continually improve NPD processes and procedures by implementing improved software documentation systemsEnsure technical documentation is correctly produced, reviewed, and maintained.Analyse results and present findingsAnalyse risk and make firm recommendationsLiaise with business stakeholders to gather requirementsQualifications and Experience:Honours degree in a suitable engineering discipline.At least 3 years of demonstratable experience in an electronics or firmware development environment.A proven background in programming for embedded applications in C is essential.Knowledge of RTOS and Communications protocols for SPI, UART, I2C, USB (MTP), Bluetooth and Bootloader Implementation are all advantageous.Source Code and library management in Git via DevOps or similar.
