Electrical Maintenance Technician (Site based static / Heavy industry)£36,021 inclusive of 22.5 % Shift Allowance + overtime + performance bonus + private medical insurance + life insurance + pension GatesheadAre you a Electrical Maintenance technician looking for a days only static site based role working for a leading manufacturer offering a wide range of steel plate suitable for application in numerous industrial sectors, such as construction, bridges andwind turbinesAre you looking for a long term stable position within a company that treats their employees well and will develop their skills and experienceOn offer is a great opportunity to work with a long established leading employer, who now looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to work within our Engineering Department, ideally with the heavy engineering industry background.The Role:

  • Continental Shift Pattern shift system, 42 hours 06.00 - 18.00 00- 06.00 (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off) Monday to Sunday for which a shift premium of 22.5% is applicable.
  • To maintain plant and equipment, contribute to installation and commissioning of new and existing equipment.
  • To maintain plant and equipment both reactively (e.g. breakdowns), and proactively (e.g. PPMs, spares build-up).
  • To report any non-conformances as observed
  • To seek assistance whenever required or at times of potential conflict (e.g. priorities)
  • To record activities as directed
  • To refer to records, drawings, manuals, and other material as necessary
The person:
  • Qualified and experienced as an electrically biased maintenance engineer.
  • 17th or 18th edition
  • Experience working at heights and with heavy engineering
