Job Description

Central Employment Marketing are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a unique and established online retail organisation based in Gateshead. They have an up and coming opportunity for an eCommerce Manager, joining the business in pivotal role.Reporting to the leadership team, the role presents a unique chance to take over and continue the success of the current Ecommerce team using your experience, knowledge, and 1st party data to drive sales and revenue through innovation and project management.The eCommerce team requires immediate expansion, and this role will be crucial in deciding the direction of that expansion and the talent the company brings on board.The role would be best suited to a highly driven, commercial and technically-minded individual with extensive knowledge of Ecommerce. Youll be excited to learn about every part of the business to aid in project management and decision-making. You will bebold in questioning new ideas and suggestions to achieve the best outcome for the customer and the company.Key responsibilities of the eCommerce Manager:

  • Manage and grow, the Ecommerce team. There are immediate plans to grow the team to 3 direct reports (currently 1)
  • Present and implement new strategies and techniques to grow the stores.
  • Use the advice from other teams and your knowledge of Ecommerce to collate, prioritise and delegate projects and tasks to ensure timely completion in the most efficient order.
  • Effectively maintain and configure the Magento 2 Ecommerce stores and extensions while advising on best practices and approaches to new features and projects.
  • Work alongside the Marketing team to ensure that promotional campaigns are implemented on time and according to the specification.
  • Maintain and improve 3rd party platforms such as Nosto and Google Tag Manager.
  • Become the go-to person for all things Ecommerce and Magento.
  • Project manage the ticketing system to ensure internal support queries are answered efficiently.
  • Oversee Digital Marketing alongside the Paid Media Executive to ensure profitability and growth.
Key skills youll need:
  • Extensive experience managing an Ecommerce function within a business. Previous experience with the Magento platform is highly desired.
  • Understanding of how all parts of the customer journey affect revenue including development, marketing, design, customer service and logistics.
  • The ability to use data to drive decision-making.
Youll stand out if you have any of the following:
  • Working knowledge of Magento 2
  • Comprehensive Project Management experience
