Job Advert QEH breast radiology consultant with specialist breast and gynae radiology interests.We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, innovative and progressive Consultant Radiologist to work within cohesive and supportive multi-disciplinary teams, to provide a quality service in breast symptomatic and screening settings, and also gynae radiology.This particular post requires a highly skilled radiologist who has specialized in both breast and gynae radiology during their training. The radiologist will cover mainly breast radiology, but alsogynae with general radiology in a 6PA : 4PA split post; the gynae radiology will take place as an SLA to South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust,providing specialist gynae imaging (ultrasound, CT and MRI) to your multidisciplinary team.The contract is full time.You will be joining two friendly teams working at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead and atSouth Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust.The services have encompassed the full 4 tier skill mix thus supporting learning and development opportunities at all levels. The radiology teams include Consultant Radiologists, Consultant and Reporting Radiographers, Advanced Practitioners, Radiographers and Assistant Practitioners.The Breast Surgical team includes Oncoplastic Breast Surgeons, Consultant Breast Care Nurse and Breast Care Nurses.The multidisciplinary teams are innovative, cohesive and forward thinking, participating in multiple researchand audit trials. The departments receive excellent feedback from patients, registrars and students.
