We are looking for caretaker that will help create and maintain a clean, attractive and safe place to live in multi-storey blocks.The key roles of this post will include: Provide a high standard of cleanliness within multi-storey blocks to the published service standard. Carry out compliance checks to support the Companys requirements in relation to Health and Safety and Fire Safety of the building. Play a key role in ensuring the security of the building and surrounding areas. Reporting any evidence of antisocial behaviour in the block and surrounding area. Initiating action to deal with vandalism or emergency situations and contact the appropriateservices. Report repairs and maintenance required to communal and external areas to the appropriate services. Routine manual handling skills, including the rotation of refuse bins. Verify credentials of official visitors such as those making deliveries or acting on behalf of public utilities, Gateshead Council or TGHC. Have responsibility to enhance grounds maintenance provided by other agencies including litter picking external areas of the block, footpaths and gullies. Work closely with other TGHC and Council sections and external agencies to achieve a clean, attractive and safe place to live in multi-storey blocks. Such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post.The candidates must have Ability to use own initiative to solve problemsand good understanding of equality and diversity and how this is demonstrated within a work environment.The candidates must have an Experience of delivering good Customer service, working alone with minimal supervision and use own initiative, effective communication skills and liaising with internal and external agencies. 5 GCSEs or equivalent at Grade 4 / C or above (including Maths and English) or equivalent or relevant demonstratable experience Cleaning & Caretaker services required in Multi Storey Accommodation in Central Gateshead near town centre. Working alongside caretakers in neighbouring blocks with supervision from Caretaker Supervisor.
