Job Description

The CompanyWe are proudly representing our public sector client based in Gateshead for their search for a Business Development Officer. They now have an immediate requirement to recruit for a temporary assignment to start as soon as possible till December 2021.The Role

  • Engaging with employers across the North East.
  • You will be promoting the business benefits to Apprenticeships with an aim of creating vacancies with progression opportunities.
  • Lead generation.
  • You will be tasked to meet challenging targets and promote learning to employers and partners in Gateshead and across the North East.
  • You will attend public relation events for employers and learners to positively promote progression opportunities, therefore knowledge of promotion and outreach work is essential.
  • You will also provide written information for a range of internal and external publications, including newsletters, information and promotional leaflets and social media, to ensure the company communicates its key messages and policies effectively on post16 skills and learning.
  • You will also be responsible for enhancing communication through harnessing new technology.
  • As part of the role you will carry out such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of the post.
The Person
  • It is essential that you have knowledge and experience of Marketing and Sales as you will be required to effectively engage employers.
  • You must have 2 years face to face or business to business sales experience, ideally within sales and marketing with experience of working towards challenging sales targets.
  • You must also have excellent written and creative skills.
