Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant to work for this growing business in Gateshead. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, your duties will be as follows:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Monitoring variances and investigating all discrepancies
  • Dealing with short and long term cash flow forecasts
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets
  • Analysis and projections of balance sheet items, including stock, receivables & payables
  • Dealing with all businesses of the group and liaising with management
  • Various adhoc tasks and projects as required
You will be part qualified and will have worked in a similar role. You will have solid analytical and problem-solving experience. Strong IT skills are required; Excel and Quickbooks would be advantageous.The company offer hybrid working, along with excellent benefits.
