Please ensure you have the right to live and work in the UK before applying.Job title: Physical Health LeadLocation: Waterloo Manor Hospital, Selby Road, Garforth, Leeds, LS25 1NARate Of Pay: £36,000 - £38,000 per annumShift Patterns: Full time, 37.5 hours per week.Information about the Role:Working as a Physical Health Lead at Waterloo Manor Hospital your duties will include:

To work effectively in supporting the assessment, planning, implementing and reviewing the provision of physical health to the patients.
To provide training and education to staff to ensure the provision of the following, but not limited to,
Health promotion and well-being,
Administration of medication - physical health related.
Monitoring the efficacy of medication prescribed for physical health conditions in addition to mental health medication for therapeutic effectiveness.
Monitor the physical effects of medication and liaise with the Consultant Psychiatrist and GP as required.
Monitor the prioritisation of health problems to assist the team in complex cases where the individuals physical health has an identified impact on mental health.
Support the implementation of vaccination and immunisation programmes as required/appropriate.
Where possible support the RMN’s in the triaging of minor injuries and illness and assess the requirement for primary or secondary care referrals and support the team to facilitate this.
Participate in and effectively delegate responsibility for care, security and maintenance of equipment and other consumables within the hospital.
To ensure the appropriate implementation and review of physical health assessment tools.
Ensure that compliance is maintained with regulations in respect of the storage and administration of drugs in accordance with the Misuse of Drugs Act.
To provide leadership to junior and less experienced staff by maintaining professional standards ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
To be a positive role model to both staff and patients.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications:Someone who has a real passion for caring and helping people.

Hold a valid NMC Pin
Previous experience in an adult physical health environment
Ability to work on shift/rota pattern.
Have the right to the work in the UK
Experience in a lead nursing role

Waterloo Manor is the largest female Personality Disorder service in the United Kingdon that provides assessment and treatment services for women with complex mentalhealth & disorders.
