LOCATION OF WORK: During cv-19 you will be working remotely from home unless its essential to be onsite. Post cv-19 there will be working flexibility, with a mixture of onsite and offsite working.THE ROLE:An sme sized electronics business who design and manufacture there products in the UK require an enthusiastic and competent Embedded Software Engineer to join its R&D team.The company specialises in designing a wide range of low powered wireless RF devices that are mass manufactured.During the pandemic the company has flourished and there is more demand than ever for its devices. The company has demand globally for its products which makes it a very exciting time for the business.With soaring demand for its products, the company is investing heavily in new R&D. There is a mixture of enhancing existing products with more technology and new features, whilst also developing new products from concept stage to complement its existing product range.You will be the main Embedded Software Engineer in the R&D team (working with Hardware and Mechanical Design Engineers), so you should be someone who is comfortable taking responsibility for the companies Embedded Software development. You will have chance to work throughout the product lifecycle, getting involved in exciting product developments.With the company operating in the consumer/ commercial sector, the product developments tend to be fast paced, which means there is a varied range of projects to work on.For this role you should be a confident Embedded C programmer with strong Microcontroller/ Microprocessor development experience. If you have worked on products that use wireless communication protocols e.g., BLE, Bluetooth, GSM, Zigbee this would be highly desirable but is not essential for the role.SKILLS REQUIRED:
