Please ensure you have the right to live and work in the UK before applying.Job title: Chef / CookLocation: Waterloo Manor Hospital, Selby Road, Garforth, Leeds, LS25 1NARate Of Pay: £10.80 Per HourShift Patterns: 30 hours per week, Part Time, permanentInformation about the Role:Working as a Chef / Cook at Waterloo Manor Hospital your duties will include the following:

  • Creating, preparing, and cooking fresh, nutritious and varied meals for our residents including those who may require modified or special diets.
  • Ensuring preparation and presentation is always to a high standard
  • planning meals and consulting with residents and care staff to ensure that individual dietary needs and preferences are catered for
  • Some responsibility for ordering, checking in and controlling supplies
  • Working as part of a diverse staff team
  • Opportunities to influence the menu and the dining experience of those within our care (quarterly review of menus)
  • Ensuring that the dining experience is positive
  • Ensuring that the kitchen standards are maintained in line with the Safer Food Better Business requirements.
  • To prepare and present food to a high standard and quality.
  • To ensure that you work within an agreed budget
Information about the Service:The service is gender specific, working with women who have complex mental health issues. Waterloo Manor is the largest female Personality Disorder service in the United Kingdon that provides assessment and treatment services for women with complex mentalhealth & disorders. The Hospital provides both low secure and rehabilitation services.Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Chef / Cook:
  • The right candidate will have a real passion for Cooking.
  • Relevant experience in a similar setting working as a Chef / Cook / Sous-chef / or Chef de partie.
  • Ability to work on shift/rota pattern, including some weekends.
  • Have the right to the work in the UK.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Safe Food Better Business requirements.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
