Job Description

Job Title: Software Engineer/DeveloperLocation: Fulham, Chelsea, Clapham, Putney, Tooting, Streatham, Kensington, Surbiton, WimbledonSalary: £40,000 + benefits inc Lunch dailyEvolve Recruitment are seeking an experienced professional to join their clients expanding team.As a member of a small software engineering team, you will collaborate with teammates to solve problems and build innovative software solutions to complementour clients core applications. You are passionate about customers and product quality, and you provide technical guidance to Program Managers as they consider user needs and product requirements. You will also learn and adopt relevant new technologies, tools,methods and processes to leverage in your solutions.Key Responsibilities

  • Design, delivery and operation of bespoke applications
  • Creating documentation and manuals
  • Creating help tools for non-IT staff
Experience & Skills
  • a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems or another related field
  • 2 + years Systems Engineering experience in the following :
    • SQL
    • Python preferably but will consider other Object oriented Programming languages, data frames e.g. Pandas, if possible with Flask.
    • Relational databases, preferably Postgres but will consider other SQL database experience
    • API development (Restful and SOAP)
  • Appreciation and understanding of cloud fundamentals.
  • 1 yr experience of version control system/software, preferably GitHub
  • A self starter, comfortable working with minimum guidance and structure
  • An enthusiastic learner, keen to learn and develop new data skills and knowledge in an evolving environment
  • Effective communicator, able to work with colleagues and Senior stakeholders
