Job Description

The Payroll Co-ordinator will join an experienced payroll individual that works within the People Team at St George PLC. The primary focus of this role will be to accurately process the monthly payroll and associated functions comprising of five companiestotalling circa 600 employees who are based in London and the Midlands. Due to the nature of our business the job holder needs to proactively communicate with each of our construction sites (circa 15).This is a role which will appeal to an individual who has an analytical mind and an eye for detail. The successful applicant will also be given exposure to HR related matters in a fast paced progressive environment.This is a satisfying role which provides an opportunity for a self-motivated and professional individual to carry on delivering a high level of service to the business.The company uses Zellis ResourceLink to process payroll and such functionality as self-service and annual leave recording through MyView.Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Successfully run the monthly ResourceLink payroll and associated reporting
  • Manage the company pension auto-enrolment process
  • Manage Give As You Earn scheme payments and reporting
  • Administer Perkbox and the BUPA wellbeing offering
  • Check the accuracy of joiner and leaver documentation
  • Produce complex monthly spreadsheets detailing payroll and HR information
  • Advise Directors of remuneration packages
  • Advise on company benefits
  • Provide and request employment references
  • Assist and advise Line Managers on company policy and basics of employment law
  • Produce the monthly payroll and HR Executive Summary
  • Deliver ad-hoc payroll reports and journals
  • Assist with the internal transfer of a payroll (possibly by April 2022).
Technical Competencies:
  • Previous experience of working within a busy generalist payroll environment
  • Zellis ResourceLink Software experience essential
  • Analytical / Strong IT Skills, particularly proficient in Excel
  • Part or fully qualified payroll qualification is desirable.
