Technical Manager Frome £50-70,000 DOEOur client is an award-winning manufacturer of Food products going through a period of sustained growth. The role is fast paced, demanding and diverse You will need to be hands on in the factory and have the ability, vision,and drive to understand how to create the best and most workable processes.Technical Manager Key Responsibilities To positively reduce Quality KPIs & non-conformance reporting - customer complaints, GMP audits, depot rejections etc. To manage factory documentation, procedures, and policies. To lead the HACCP team. To manage and conduct the internal audit program and ensure its maintenance. To be responsible for hosting and conducting customer and other compliance audits To ensure all products comply with the required standards of food safety, legality, and product quality. To deliver on KPI targets and continuous improvement. To be responsible for the Companys Food Quality Manual. Be responsible for customer portals. To ensure all site hygiene standards comply with our policy / customer policies and all other customer and environmental requirements. To ensure the factory works towards and maintains high technical audit standards: BRC Grade A+ and all customer annual audits. Be responsible for recruiting and managing the QA team.Technical Manager Skills / Experience Required Qualified to degree level, ideally in a relevant subject. Minimum of three years food manufacturing experience, ideally in a Technical Manager / Quality Manager role Level 3 Award or equivalent in Food Safety and HACCP for Food Manufacturing. Lead auditing experience. Excellent knowledge of microbiology. Experience of writing customer specifications. Experienced in customer relationships.
