Technical Assistant - Frome - £20-23k DOE Our client is an award-winning manufacturer of Desserts products. Due to growth they are now seeking a Technical Assistant to join their team. The role is fast paced, demanding and diverse, and will hold a real breadth for exposure to all aspects of technical within the food industry. You will report into the Quality Manager and you will need to be an excellent communicator, with attention to detail and a passion for technical to be successful in this role. The key purpose of the role will be to implement the company standards and train staff to operate to them, whilst continuously striving to improve the standards. The Technical Assistant Role will involve: ·Implementing and continuously improve standards into all factory areas ·Training staff against current procedures and processes ·Attending Trials to create product standards in conjunction with NPD and Production ·Management of Raw Material and packaging intake ·Managing Technical KPIs ·Carrying out internal and GMP audits to ensure site is complying with all customer and BRC standards The Successful Technical Assistant Candidate will have: -Experience of working within a technical / quality role in a food manufacturing environment - Knowledge of customer codes of practice and BRC requirements - Highly organised with excellent communication skills both verbal and written - A Food Science or similar qualification This role could also suit a Graduate who is keen to embark on a career within the Food Industry or a candidate who has experience of working within a QA or Technical role within the Industry This is a Monday to Friday Day based role Salary £ 20-23kDOE plus excellent benefits ·£20,000 - £23,000 pa ·Company pension 6% employer contribution ·25 days holiday + Bank holidays ·Company sick pay ·4 x Death in Service If the role is of interest, then please send your CV today Commutable from Bridgwater, Frome, Trowbridge, Shepton Mallet, Wells, Devizes, Bath Key Words - Technical Assistant, Technical Administrator, QA, QA Supervisor, Food Technologist, Food Science Graduate, Technical officer
