Job Description

Senior Buyer - Procurement of Direct MaterialsAn established global company is seeking a Senior Buyer for its Procurement team, focusing on Direct Materials. This is a practical role for someone looking to further their career in procurement.About the Role: As a Senior Buyer, you will:

  • Source and contract for specific spend categories.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate terms.
  • Contribute to project meetings, focusing on procurement aspects.
  • Ensure accurate supplier price management and SAP updates.
  • Occasionally deputize for the Procurement Manager.
Who You Are:
  • Experienced in procurement, ideally with a background in Direct Materials.
  • Strong in negotiation and communication.
  • Competent in project management and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Familiar with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Degree educated, CIPS qualification desirable.
