LAB ASSISTANTThe Laboratory Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our laboratory facilities, working closely with the Laboratory testing teams to ensure it is a tidy environment and eliminate potential safety issues. They will also support the teamwith occasional product testing and other duties to support this.Key responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining both laboratories in a clean and tidy state to prevent and eliminate potential safety issues.
  • Reporting damage to laboratory fabric or failing equipment to the QC Manager in a timely manner.
  • Promoting and support a safety culture within the laboratories, following Plant Safety policies and procedures.
  • reparation of media and controls for the MBA Laboratory.
  • Actively monitoring and maintaining the analytical bench reagents within their expiry dates, disposing of those which have expired and are about to expire.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate will have experience of a similar role within a laboratory setting and/or a scientific background, such as from FMCG, Medical Device or Pharmaceuticals. They will also:
  • Have a clear and methodical approach to work.
  • Be able to work alone, with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
