We are searching for an Enforcement Officer, also known as Area Officer, to complete a long term temporary contract at least until the end of the year!The role has become available due to extra workload.We are looking for an individual with previous experience of issuing Fixed Penalty Notices so ideal for someone who worked in a similar role before.For example, this could be ideal for someone who has worked as a PCSO/an ex-Police background, with experience of issuing FPNs, but ultimately someone who can assist with the implementation of Environmental Enforcement (outlined below) who just as importantly, has the gravitas and presence to handle themselves professionally at all times, so a common sense approach is also a must.A driving licence is essential as you will be required to patrol the District (Folkestone, Hythe and surrounding areas) in a small works vehicle provided and occasionally on foot too, issuing Fixed Penalty Notices where appropriate related to environmental crime:-- Litter- Dog Fouling- Fly-tipping- Dropping cigarettes- Dogs in restricted areas (including beaches)- Patrolling the award winning Coastal Park to prevent people using BBQ’s or lighting fires - using Community Protection Warnings- Support with unauthorised encampments- Visiting local shops/premises checking Covid 19 related government guidelines are in place, ie. hand sanitisers, social distancing adhered to, as much as possible etc.Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, 5 days in a 7 day week and will include some weekends, on a one weekend on, one weekend off basis.Hourly Rate:Largely depending on experience but as a guide iro £11.71 - £13.20 per hourWe are looking to fill this role as a matter of urgency so individuals must be available for an immediate start.Please email your up to date CV as soon as possible.Interviews will be conducted in line with current Covid 19 related guidelines.
