Job Description

Test & Repair Electronics Technician for electronics / electro-mechanical product manufacturing company in Folkestone, Kent.Long established, small but very successful specialist instrumentation equipment manufacturer who design and manufacture electronic testing equipment for industry (construction, power, oil & gas etc).Permanent, Immediate start available, Great Salary + company bonus, training and development.Test & Repair Electronics Technician Role Purpose:

  • Testing & calibration of components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies
  • Repair and re-calibration of customer instruments
Test & Repair Electronics Technician Responsibilities, Goals & ObjectivesMeasurement, Test and Calibration.
  • Carry out in-process measurement, test, or calibration according to defined specifications.
  • Prepare and issue test reports & calibration certificates.
  • Maintain test and measurement equipment in good working order and to propose improvements as appropriate.
  • Thoroughly and methodically self-check and confirm that work is carried out without error.
Fault-finding, Diagnosis and Repair
  • Fault-finding of electronic and electromechanical assemblies
  • Diagnosis of problems using test equipment including oscilloscope, multi-meters, etc.
  • Disassembly, repair and reassembly of customer instruments, including testing and quality certification
  • Thorough and methodical approach to work, to ensure quality and functionality of products returned to customers.
Electronics Technician Person Requirements
  • Appropriate education including Maths, English and Science subjects
  • Practical ability including assembly of intricate parts, soldering and workshop skills.
  • Computer literate, with appropriate capability in MS Office products.
  • Presentation and Reporting skills, appropriate command of written & spoken English.
  • Working experience in electronics or mechanical assembly or fault-finding would be advantageous
  • Personal or hobby interest in robotics, electronics, DIY mechanics, similar subjects
  • Enthusiasm, Energy & Drive. Potential to grow with the business.
  • Entitlement to work in the UK.
