Job Description

We are looking for a CNC Team Leader for our client based in Hythe, Kent. The Team Leader is expected to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operation of a number of work centres within their respective Production Areas, ensuring that the efficient manufactureof fully compliant products that are produced on time and in full to both internal and external customers .It is critical that the job holder leads by example and conveys the importance of meeting >98% OTIF and the importance of achieving Right First Timethat will drive down the true Cost of Quality across the business. Maintaining a motivated team with staff development and involvement to create a skilled, flexible, and skilled workforce.Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of CNC operators, ensuring that all production goals are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor the performance of team members, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
  • Plan and coordinate the scheduling of CNC operators, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in the production process.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production processes and ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed at all times.
Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of using E8 advantageous
  • Strong IT skills using spread sheets and word
  • Managing people
  • Ability to drive improvements using the 8D process
  • Lean and 5s methodologies
  • Able to read engineering drawings
  • Drive quality standards
  • Customer focused and results orientated
  • Working well under pressure
