Job Description

Class people have an exciting opportunity for multiple Teaching Assistants to work at a rapidly expanding SEN school. No matter what age group you are looking to work with, from Early Years, to Post 16, due to expansion, this school has the role youre lookingfor. While experience working with SEN is desirable in the right candidate, if you have experience supporting children in any capacity, this school would be more than happy to consider your application.You will be working with a range of pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties, or who have some challenging behavioural issues. Starting ASAP, the multiple posts offered by this school are running for 30 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8:45 3:45 term time only, plus 5 inset days.This school values the idea of enjoying education. Supporting more than 160 students and rapidly increasing, individuality is at theheart of this school, with staff being encouraged to innovate and be creative in terms of applying the curriculum.As the right Teaching Assistant for this role, you will have:

Some understanding or experience working with children with SEND or behavioural issues
A kind, patient, and caring demeanour, putting the needs of the students above all else
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to take the initiative; adapting working styles to the needs of the students being supported, displaying a clear understanding of the different ways children learn
A history of supporting students to a consistently high standard
Passion, enthusiasm, and creativity when engaging with students of all primary ages and abilities.
