Regulatory Manager £55,000 - £60,000 North London My client is a rapidly growing health and beauty e-tailer. Their leading brands have taken the industry by storm, and as a business they have grown over 100% in the past year. As a result of their continued growth and success, the opportunity to recruita Regulatory Manager has arisen to manage product compliance and product safety assessments. The successful candidate will have a background in chemistry, cosmetic science, or a pharmaceutical science-related discipline. In return, this role offers excellentcareer prospects, with the opportunity to grow this into its own business unit.Responsibilities

• Overall product compliance review of both EPD and NPD, ensuring all products are in line
• with company policies and product legislation
• Create and maintain Cosmetic Product Safety Assessments including authority to sign off
• documentation
• Creation and updating of CPNP
• Maintenance of raw material and fragrance libraries, active TSDS/MSDS,
• Advise the commercial department and customers on claims acceptability and contribute to artwork and INCI approval
• Create and maintain internal technical files / dossiers for product registrations and
• retailer setup
• Assist in the management of complaints relating to product conformity
• Review suppliers formulations at development/sourcing stage for each territory
• Help in briefing new formulation (to reach desired claims, use of desired ingredients
• Review pack copy
• Advise marketing on claims acceptability and contribute to artwork approval & review online copy
• Provide INCI list, Complete PIF files and CPNP Notifications
• CPSR (Might need a toxicologist for this)
• Keep up to date with latest changes of regulations and communicate them early
• Conduct cosmetovigilance, manage related audits, complaints relating to product conformity
• Help CS with customers reactions responses
• Present compliance strategies related to grey areas of regulation.
• Have a good understanding of EU and International Cosmetic regulations
• Knowledge of food and electrical would be good
• First point of contact for any compliance questions from the whole business, provide all compliance documents for retailers requests
• Work on all product certifications (vegan, kosher, soil association etc), request relevant documents to suppliers and co-ordinate all information for annual audits
• Provide guidance when exporting to new territories and assemble all required documentation

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role, with a strong awareness of global cosmetic regulations,
• specifically UK/EU,USA and Canada
• Experience working on CPNP notifications, Health Canada registrations and product safety
• reports
• Hold a degree in pharmacy, toxicology, medicine or a similar discipline from the EU, or a
• degree by a recognised equivalent in the EU.
• Background in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline
• Experience within REACH and CLP compliance
