Job Description

Head of Soft ServicesPosition Overview: We are seeking a experienced Head of Soft Services to join our team in the United Kingdom. As the Head of Soft Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of soft services across our property management portfolio, includingfacilities management, maintenance services, cleaning, security, and front-of-house operations. Your strong leadership skills and industry knowledge will enable you to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement, ensuring the highest standardsof service delivery throughout our properties.Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and inspire a team of soft services professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to the team, setting strategic goals and KPIs to drive performance and successful service delivery.
  • Encourage professional development and growth among team members, identifying and addressing training needs as required.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and contractors.
Service Delivery:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive soft services strategies and policies that align with industry best practices, client requirements, and JLL standards.
  • Monitor service levels across the portfolio, regularly reviewing performance and implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety and risk management.
  • Work closely with the Head of Facilities Management to provide integrated solutions and optimize service delivery.
Vendor and Contract Management:
  • Oversee the selection, appointment, and management of third-party service providers and contractors, ensuring they meet JLLs quality standards and requirements.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring cost efficiencies and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to monitor supplier performance and drive accountability.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage innovation and improve service delivery.
  • Drive the adoption of technology-enabled solutions and digital platforms to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, initiating and leading projects to drive best practices and deliver operational excellence.
Experience Required
  • Bachelors degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within soft services or facilities management.
  • Strong knowledge of soft services functions, including facilities management, maintenance, cleaning, security, and front-of-house operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor and contract management, including supplier selection and negotiation.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop cross-functional teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and technologies for facilities and service management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
