General hours of work are 40 hours per week, which are guaranteed. Hours and shifts include days, evenings, nights and weekends with the option of overtime as required. We have had our most successful year ever! We are growing significantlywhich is why we need YOU!You will Working within a Green Services team of 2-3, you will be responsible for. Training will also be given to the successful candidates if needed.Responsibilities of a Grass Cutting Operative:The Grass Cutting Operative sits at the heart of everything we and you will be responsible for:
  • carrying out swathe cuts to roadside verges on major A roads and motorways to include visibility splays for signs and junctions. Undertaking traffic counts, calls to clients and subcontractors, timings and near misses
  • strimming around street furniture such as road signs and safety barriers. Helping and guiding new trainees
  • Being familiar with the use of high-powered petrol brush cutters and other associated equipment to achieve this will be an advantage
What good looks like for a Grass Cutting Operative:
  • CSCS
  • Lantra Brush Cutter / Strimmer Experience
  • NPTC Pesticides PA1 & PA6A
  • NPTC Pesticides PA2
  • NPTC Brushwood Chippers
  • Physically fit and able to pass a safety critical worker medical,
  • You will possess a full driving licence, with no more than 6 points.
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Adaptability and Flexibility
  • Meticulous attention to detail
