Job Description

Network EngineerDuration: 18 monthsLocation: Feltham/RemoteProviding tier 4 support and network disaster recovery expertise. Test and document system behaviour, performance, and security. Plan, design, and troubleshoot local and wide area network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, switches, gateways, DNS servers, DHCP servers, clustering solutions, and related hardware, software, and services. 7 years of experience are required.Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience building reliable, serviceable infrastructure in enterprise campus access networks using Meraki technology
  • Hands on experience with enterprise wireless, security, identify and routing
  • Preferred experience with lifecycle automation for network using tools like Ansible, Python, Cisco NSO
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and automation paradigms including Linux networking experience with deployment automation
  • Ability to design and deploy service monitoring and infrastructure observability tools
  • Strong understanding of relevant networking paradigms and traditions
  • Experience working with tools such as git, JIRA, python
    • Statement of PurposeDesign, implement and operate network infrastructure with Meraki SD-WAN, Wireless LAN, Switching and management platforms. Deploy and operate infrastructure through automation. Combining client driven requirements and project goals to design infrastructure. understand and voice informed design opinions regarding infrastructure security.Work Product deliverable:

  • Lab Test Results Published
  • Production Buildout Checklist Creation
  • Production Deployment
  • Maintenance and operation of network infrastructure
  • Installation of manufacturer recommended firmware
  • Execution of work tickets for change orders or breakfix
  • x7 monitoring of infrastructure and services
  • x5 response to work tickets or monitoring alerts
  • Configuration of Core and Campus resident services and applications including topology mapping
  • Patching
  • Documentation of technical specs and change orders via JIRA and WIKI
  • Troubleshooting and RCA of breakfix reports
  • Adherence to agree upon SLAs regarding uptime, maintenance, response and documentation
