Job Description

AIR Consultants is a well established and growing staffing solutions company specialising in the Freight, Cargo, Logistics & Shipping industries.Due to company growth we are currently looking to recruit experienced Imports Clerks to work within our clients facility based at Heathrow Airport.Role & Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities for Customs entries and clearances in timely and efficient manner
  • Communicating with customers in consistent formats for both day to day operations and for exceptions and monitoring responses and outcomes
  • Liaising with HMRC and Border Force when required and developing knowledge and experience of the customs clearance process and impending changes to systems.
  • Up to date knowledge and application of Imports systems for CHIEF and NCTS
  • Operational
  • Monitoring customer pre-alerts via email and advising exceptions
  • Ensuring client documents and manifests are correct and communicating exceptions
  • Advising warehouse operations of completed clearances and / or exception as quickly as possible
  • Liaising with all parties relative to the retrieval of freight to the ETSF
  • Logistics
  • Arranging airline collections with logistics providers internally and externally ensuring best value and efficiency on a day to day basis
  • Working Hours: 40 hr week9am - 17:30pm - Mon-Fri (inc Sunday)or12:30pm - 20:30pm - Mon - Fri (inc Sunday)Sunday 10:30am - 1900pm - Sunday can be paid as flat rate or a day in lieu can be taken except for MondaysIf you are interested in the above Vacancy and feel you have the right experience for this role, please contact me on the email address below: Required skills
