Job Description

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Customs and Trade Compliance Administrator for a major Freight Forwarder based at Heathrow.Working part of a global logistics network that connects the world. A network that allows you to shape your career by encouraging you to contribute and truly make a difference.We are recruiting a UK Customs and Trade Compliance Administrator to join our Customs Compliance team. Reporting into our cluster Customs and Trade Compliance Manager, working collaboratively as a part of our wider Operational teams, this core role willfocus on transit compliance, identifying and assisting with the resolution of transit irregularities and transit guarantee management. There will be a requirement to complete weekly and monthly compliance reports, to assist with auditing, identify weaknessesor risks and provide guidance and support to the business where possible. There will also be scope to assist with additional administrative duties within the compliance team.The role:-

  • Complete daily checks on outbound transits, identify potential problem shipments and notify the respective team.
  • Complete daily checks on Inbound transits, identify potential problem shipments and notify the respective team.
  • Liaise with overseas offices on any transit issues that they have identified.
  • Administer weekly and monthly reports on transit irregularities identified by the UK team, the overseas offices and HMRC.
  • Assist with transit entry auditing.
  • Complete KPI and transit guarantee reports.
  • Some client and back end data Sequoia maintenance.
  • Some testing of the customs software with regards to transit to ensure compliance.
  • Scope to assist with other administrative duties within the compliance team.
  • Ad-hoc relevant project work.
About you:-
  • Strong attention to detail with proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and work to stringent timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, collaborative, communication and influencing skills.
  • Highly proactive with a strong sense of self-initiative.
  • Proven experience of developing relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience in an administrator or similar role, ideally with basic Customs knowledge.
  • Demonstrable experience within multi modal freight, ideally including Land/Road freight.
