Job Description

Capella Professional are looking to a recruit a HR Advisor on behalf of our growing client based in Featherstone.This position is suitable for a seasoned HR professional, or a recent graduate with working experience.The RoleThe overall purpose of the job is the provision of effective HR support within the UK business working with the HR Manager, UK & Australia, and the line managers.The main are of responsibility will be with the employees at Featherstone & St Helens (LINPAC Packaging ltd), employees circa 300. Support will be provided if required to the other legal entities in the UK.Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support on all HR related matters to the line managers covering the entire employee life cycle
  • Ensure compliance within the business to legal and Company requirements
  • Support absence management
  • Coach line managers on people management matters
  • Administrative support, maintenance of employee records and data analysis, as required.
The PersonKnowledge
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation and best working practices would be an advantage
Education
  • Batchelors degree or equivalent
  • CIPD qualified (or working towards) is desirable
Functional/Technical Skills
  • A working knowledge of word and excel
  • Driving license is essential
Experience
  • The role would be suitable for a graduate who had post qualification experience or who has experience in industry as part of their degree
  • 1 year + HR generalist experience
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Experience of working in a unionised environment is desirable
Competencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt depending on the audience
  • Self-motivate and seeking to develop self and the role
  • Flexible attitude to demand with the capability to prioritise workload according to changing demand
  • The confidence to question the process and suggest improvement
