Job Description

Compliance and Quality OfficerFeatherstone£25k - £40k Dependant on experience (neg)08.30am - 5pm Monday to FridayJob Description We have a fantastic opportunity become available within our client based in Featherstone. They are a specialised manufacturers of wood panelling, who are seeking a compliance and quality assurance officer to join their busy team.Overview:The role will require someone to be passionate and diligent, ensuring the company is compliant and up to date with current legislation, coupled with strong communication ability with internal and external clients.Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Update FSC with relevant changes, keeping up to date with legislation and be involved with Audits
  • keep up to date with UKTR with due diligence on timber used from oversees suppliers
  • Updating and reporting on SEDEX platform
  • Working towards achieving carbon neutral
  • ISO9001 & ISO14001
  • Risk assessing and training employees including FLT, Fire wardens and first aid etc
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers verbally and written
  • Involvement with wood sure, BSL, RHI to ensure correct records on fuel are kept and any legislation changes are kept and are up to date to ensure all audits pass.
The person:
  • Must be qualified in most of the above.
  • Be diligent and have an eye for detail
  • Have an interest in the environment
  • Have excellent customer liaison skills
  • Articulate, with excellent standard of written and verbal English
