Job Description

We have an immediate requirement for a Caretaker at one of our schools in Bolton. Supporting the school with general maintenance on a temporary basis to cover sickness until the end of the school year up to Christmas. We are seeking applicants who have an Enhanced DBS on the update service and have previous caretaking or handyman experience. This is a great opportunity if you have a background in caretaking and are immediately available to offers your services for extra income up to Christmas. Offering immediate start, great rate of pay £16.25p/h (equivalent to £33,500 basic), Hours of work Monday to Friday 7am to 10am then 2pm to 6pm (if split shift isnt an option, they would be happy to have the right person for the 2pm to 6pm afternoonshift), onsite parking, additional income for Christmas. What will you be doing as a Caretaker

  • Opening the school building in the morning and securely closing at night
  • General maintenance and DIY thats required during the school day
  • Keep the grounds of the school kept tidy
  • Assist the cleaners with the removal of rubbish and help with cleaning on areas that it is required
  • Be available on site to direct any external contractors to the right areas they will be repairing
  • Conduct health & safety checks for water temperature, fire extinguishers and alarms
  • Checking stock and sending orders through for cleaning & hygiene supplies
What skills will you need as a Caretaker
  • Your reliable and can commit to work until 21st December
  • Have experience working in a caretaking, maintenance or handyman role
  • Must have an Enhanced DBs on the update service to be considered
What will you get in return for your work as a Caretaker
  • Great rate of pay £16.25p.h (equivalent to £33,500 basic)

  • Working hours Monday to Friday
  • Split shifts 7am to 10am and 2pm to 6pm (would consider 2pm to 6pm only for the right candidate)
